If you’re like most of us at InQuest, it’s hard to imagine going back to a time without smartphones. As marketers, smartphones have become an integral part of our jobs. We are constantly emailing, looking up facts, watching videos and doing competitive research. Not to mention, those of us who work in social media are posting and engaging with consumers on an ongoing basis through our smartphones.
In fact, when thinking about how to engage with customers through mobile devices, social media is one of the first things that comes to mind because of how ubiquitous social media is on mobile. But we were curious about how people were using their smartphones beyond checking Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (and now PokemonGO). Lucky for us, the Pew Institute had already done research on this very topic.
So we picked out a few of our favorite statistics from the recent study, and put those numbers into a handy infographic about Smartphone Usage in America. We hope you like it. And if you want to dive deeper into this study, here is the Pew Research Center’s U.S. Smartphone Usage Study.
